Nail Stained Mahogany hollow form

Handcrafted from sustainably sourced wood, this hollow form showcases the intricate craftsmanship and natural beauty of the wood..  Large bowl-vase turned from a very mature green Florida Mahogany tree.   Unique dark area was produced by 3 nails imbedded when it was a young sappling, which the tree ultimately totally encased as it matured.  Was a supprise to me when I was turning this piece and my chisle discovered the burried metal.
