Tall Three Legged Mahogany Open Vase

Tall Mahogany open vase with preserved natural edge chocolate brown bark rim and beautiful area near the top of the piece where a large branch was emerging from the trunk. Turning tree segments where branches are emerging is more challenging but always reveals amazing grain transition areas where the tree builds pathways for nutrient to travel to and from branches. Integral hand carved set off three legs. Sanded to 5000 grit and coated with multiple layers of piano lacquer. 21" tall x 11"diameter
